Article X- Keeper Regulations
A keeper is a player that is selected by a predetermined deadline to remain on a fantasy team from one year to the next. Leagues can allow up to ten keepers. Draft picks are awarded to teams that decide not to keep the maximum amount of players. By default, keepers or picks-in-lieu-of-keepers are allotted in the initial round(s) of a league's draft, though this is fully customizable in the Custom Draft Board.
10.1 New Owners have the option to reconstruct (including drop, change, and trade) keeper players contracts.
10.2 FA players not drafted at the beginning of the year are available for last round draft picks, players picked up by FA (drafted and dropped by other owners) can be keepers, owner forfeits draft pick, based on where the previous owner drafted the player.
10.3 Traded players can be keepers, owner forfeits draft pick, based on where the previous owner drafted the player.
10.4 Keepers are tradeable (when a keeper is traded both managers will take on the contract, keepers can be traded for non-keepers)
10.5 Final Roster players only, are permitted to be offered a contract.
10.6 Contracts – 1 and 2 year contracts are available to offer, owner forfeits pick during the round the player was drafted (2nd and 3rd year options are available, owner forfeits first round, or next available round pick).
10.7 1 Keeper allotted per year (each owner can hold a max of up to and no more than 2 keepers) each owner has the option to opt out of offering any player a contract for any given year.
10.8 Keepers are un-droppable
